Rogue LX200BF Series II Fretless Bass Guitar, Metallic Blue Review

Rogue LX200BF Series II Fretless Bass Guitar, Metallic Blue
Average Reviews:

I've played alot of different basses. Violin style, Fenders', Gibson's, Ibanez. I bought the Rogue for a fretless to give it a try. I was surprised at the quality of the sound and tone. I found it fun to play and I was able to experience new sounds with no frets. I had a light hum on a volume pot when I turned it up, but that's easy to fix. The nut for the plug-in socket needs to be checked for looseness, again real easy to fix. I play this bass most of the time now. It is fun and easy playing. LC

For those of you metal heads out there!!!!This is for you!!!Just add this to a top of the line Jackson and you'll be headbangin' in no time.

This is a one of a kind Amp.The damn thing is pretty heavy, but the quality that its Celestion (yes, I said Celestion) speaker produces makes you forget it was ever painful in the first place. The amp includes 7 digital effects of which 3 can be played simaltaneously and 12 different amp models from different eras of music.

My personal favorite is "Insane" for it produces the greatest distortion I've ever heard. For you true metalheads, this one's for you!!!! \m/ Rock on \m/

Pignose 7-300 HOG-30 Amplifier Review

Pignose 7-300 HOG-30 Amplifier
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Before I get into rating this amp, let me just say that it is not like regular guitar combo amps. Like the product descripion says it was designed for multiple types of instruments so don't go plugging into this thing and expect an amp with distortion when turned all the way up. It has a very clean tone when used alone with a guitar but add your favorite distortion or overdrive pedal and you will be amazed by its sound. Very punchy and with today's multi-effects with amp modeling built in, this is the only type of amp you want to use. Also, I can just unplug my guitar and effects and plug in my bass and not worry about blowing the amp. And the portability of it is great. The battery really does last long on just one charge.

Washburn DK20T w/ Deluxe Gig Bag Acoustic Guitar with Built In Tuner Review

Washburn DK20T w/ Deluxe Gig Bag Acoustic Guitar with Built In Tuner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I found no reviews of the DK20 CET when I bought, so here's mine, based on 38 years onstage handling acoustic guitars.
I bought this guitar as a backup that was cutaway, and since I own a vintage (1972) Washburn Prairie Song Custom, I banked entirely on the reputation of that pinnacle of guitar craft.I realized that the guitar was mostly glitz from the ads I saw, and was not expecting a whole lot.
When I got it, the action was incredibly high, so before I even tuned it I set up the action. Brought the bridge saddle and nut down quite a bit to reasonable height for easy playability.I tuned it up then and was completely knocked out by the sound. It is a very sweet guitar, perfect blues guitar with lots of expression. But it also has a powerful bass for rhythm domination, lol.
The fretboard is virtually the size specs as the Prairie Song Custom, slightly wider than some for intricate picking. The frets are a bit uneven, but that is expected on a guitar this price. I'm going to even the frets up and lower the action a bit more.
The electronics functioned properly, Im not a big fan of the Shadow underbridge pickup, but Im going to invest in an I-Bar Baggs pickup, this guitar deserves it.
The gold tuners seem a little on the iffy side, thats the only weak point I find.
As far as workmanship, I havent found a flaw in this guitar, but can't testify to how it will hold up.
My Prairie Song Custom has held up well to 36 years of onstage abuse, and was once picked up off a stage by a tornado and still is sweet. I can only hope this DK20 does half as well. If it gives out I'll buy another.
I would have paid $600 or 700 for this guitar if I'd played it set up as it is now.

LR Baggs M1 Soundhole Magnetic Acoustic Guitar Pickup Review

LR Baggs M1 Soundhole Magnetic Acoustic Guitar Pickup
Average Reviews:

I put this pickup in my workhorse guitar - a Sigma Martin from the 70's. That's sort of like putting a V8 engine into an old VW bug. I plugged it into my Fishman Loudbox acoustic amp and it sounds amazing. I was concerned about it being a passive pickup but it's powerful, clear, and makes my guitar sound better than it actually is.

The LR Baggs M1 acoustic guitar pickup is the world's first body-sensitive soundhole magnetic pickup, eliminating the trade-off between convenience and performance. From your first strum you'll know that the M1 is pure magic. What makes it so different? In a common stacked humbucker, the second, lower coil cancels hum, but doesn't contribute anything positive to the sound. In fact, it can muddy the sound of the main coil. We unlock the second coil. Tascam CDGT2 Portable CD Guitar Trainer Review

Tascam CDGT2 Portable CD Guitar Trainer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I REALLY like the functions, plus the fact that it is so simple. All I have to do is throw a CD into this thing. Then I can change the pitch without changing temp. Ever tried to figure out old ACDC tunes? They're all + or - some fraction of a note, right? OK, this fixed it for me.

And of course I can slow the tempo down a lot and then A-B repeat the lead part so I have a chance at it.

The CD sound quality is really not bad. NO, it ain't Hi-Fi. But seriously, what do you expect. Yet for something this size and cost, I was surprised I could plug Line-out to the stereo and it wasn't bad. Just be sure you push your connector all the way in. For the longest time, the connector was not pushed in well, and it sounded crappy. not anymore.

The guitar effects are a bit like the cheesier 80's effects. Don't expect a lot there. But then again, I'm just using this to figure out licks, so that's not a big deal in my case. Most of the time I play the Tascam through stereo, and I play the guitar through a practice amp, so this is not even a problem for me.

Batteries won't last long if you're as slow at figuring out licks as I am. Get you the power transformer; I think it's one of those 5V types.

But again, for not having to convert tracks to some audio format and all that techno-stuff that goes with it, this is just what I was looking for. Just throw the CD in there and get to woodshedding.
