Seagull Deluxe Dreadnaught EPP Tric Acoustic Guitar Case w/ Cover Review

Seagull Deluxe Dreadnaught EPP Tric Acoustic Guitar Case w/ Cover

This acoustic guitar case is very poorly designed. The case material itself is light weight and durable as advertised but there are no latches to hold the case closed. ...No latches at all.The only thing that holds it closed, and not very tightly, is a flimsy zipper on the external cover. I would expect it to break quickly under normal use. It seems like a really clumsy closure mechanism.
I personally can't bring myself to put an expensive guitar in it and tried to return it on the day that it arrived. Unfortunately, the shipping costs to return it, because it's "over-sized", are about $55.00.Add to that the $10.99 that the store already charged me for the original shipping and the economics of this purchasing decision become quite depressing. Now I'm stuck with something I don't like and don't want to use.
DO NOT buy it on-line.If you really want to consider one of these cases go to a music store that has one in stock and look it over very carefully. There are so many better and less expensive cases out there that no one should waste their time on this thing.

Product Description:
The portable nature of the acoustic guitar plays a big part in its popularity. Obviously, providing appropriate protection for your guitar when moving it, is an important consideration. Up until now, guitar players have been faced with the choice of either a gig bag or a hard shell case for the protection of their instrument. The light weight of gig bags makes them easy to carry but they don't offer much in the way of impact resistance. Hard shell cases, on the other hand, provide better impact protection but are much heavier and awkward to carry. What every guitar player really wants is a case that combines the lightweight and convenience of a gig bag with the impact protection of a hard shell case. Seagull has found the answer when they became aware of a high-tech material called Neopolen P expanded polypropylene (EPP). This same material is widely used in automotive applications that require impact energy management. So they designed a new case using this amazing new material. The Fort Tric EPP case has redefined guitar protection and now you can enjoy the convenience of a lightweight case-at 2 ? lbs this case is a mere ? lb heavier than a gig bag-with impact resistance beyond that of the average hard shell case.

Guardian Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Case (Fiberglass, Dark Grey) Review

Guardian Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Case

I have two young children so it was imparative that I find a case to protect my newest baby. I needed one that would protect it from probable spills, and possible standing on/jumping off. This case is all that I asked for and more: It looks great and it has two attachable straps so I can wear it over my shoulder or as a backback. i can also carry it from its ultra comfy leather handle. Unlike other cases, namely the $79 road runner that I initially brought home, the lock on this one works. Its fits my baby like a glove, its beautiful crushed velvet nestling and hugging its every curve. On the downside the velvet binding around the sides on the top seem to be coming unglued. However, for this price I find the to be worth the re-glue job. I really love this case

Coffin Case 300VX Monster Wood Coffin Guitar Case for Extreme Guitars, Black Exterior with Red Interior Review

I have been looking for a versitile case that would allow me to carry a few guitars that will not fit standard cases. What do I mean by standard? Well there are several cases that will accomodate most "STRAT" shaped guitars, also cases that will accommodate most Les Paul shaped guitars. That is nice should you have either one of these guitars. However should you have a guitar such as a Flying "V" or an Explorer, ML, Destroyers and the DIME RAZORBACKS. Well this case will hold all of these. The fit and finish are pretty good. The inside looks very nice, one of the best looks in some time. Now for the negative aspects of this case. I prefer a case to be molded plastic or poly. This case is wood and Tolex, not that it is a bad case. It is just a preference, i deal with scratches better than torn areas on a case. Of course you can always have it recoveredif it becomes unbearable. Scratched and dented cases are things you live with if they occur. Still I do prefer plastic or poly cases for the following reason: I ship alot of guitars to and from other countries. it is much easier to ship a guitar in a plastic case than a Tolex covered one. The lables used to ship stick better and the cases usually do much better with plastic. I have shipped the others with success (the item arrived intact) but the case usually has torn areas or rips in the Tolex. As there are not too many choices for us with extreme guitar shapes, this case is a Godsend and an answered prayer for me. I have a case for all of my guitars, I just like it that way. If you are looking for a case to house and protect your guitar, this one will fit and do the job. Just be informed it is large, it almost stands 5 foot tall (really). I hope this helps, I just ordered the case and hoped for the best. I finally saw a picture of a RAZORBACK and knew it would fit my guitar as well.CJWII

Gator Cases ATA-Style Guitar Case with TSA Latches for Bass Guitars Review

Gator Cases ATA-Style Guitar Case with TSA Latches for Bass Guitars

I can't say enough positive things about this case.I took two P-Basses with me on a 7-week US Tour last fall. We traveled in a bus and the gear was behind us in a trailer. The cases survived being crammed in with big road cases, under drums and merch, and they still look BRAND NEW.They still open and close like a dream, despite my 1/2" thick bass strap- and most importantly, they protected my basses.

I just got back from a fly-date in Indiana. We flew Southwest and of course I had to check my bass. The case, with P-Bass, strap and cables - weighed 25 pounds! I didn't have to pay to check it.I got scanned by the TSA folks, but they were able to open & close it with no problem (phew.) The security lady even commented on my Zeppelin sticker :)

I have owned the g-tour cases, TKL and SKB cases, and I wouldn't trade my Gator ATAs for anything. They are lighter, more durable, and look better than any case (bass or otherwise)I have ever owned.

SKB 18 Acoustic Guitar Case (Standard Dreadnought Size) Review

SKB 18 Acoustic Guitar Case
Average Reviews:

First of all, my new case is SOLID.Even open it doesn't skew or twist. The top doesn't compress at all and the lip makes a smooth seal all around.

There are lots of little details you wouldn't think of, like extra ridges and feet to take the first hits.I live by the sea so materials that are impervious to moisture are essential. The trigger latches are of simple design, easy and fast to open.

The neck is wide to hold shaped foam that cradles your fretboard. This also provides more storage--a spare pack of strings lies flat.It gives a nice balance to the big dreadnought body, both in weight and appearance.Did I mention the comfy, oversized handle?

This is a beautiful case with a gently arched top.The interior is a classy dark jade velour which vacuums well and won't show stains.

So I'm a fan.The SKB18 costs only a few coins more than an average box, and truly has some superior features.Look no further.
