(More customer reviews)The Boss DD-20 Giga Delay pedal may not be the last delay pedal you ever need but it may come close. This is another in the "twin pedal" design in the Roland line.

The layout looks imposing but is very simple and intuitive. You have your basic controls for feedback, delay time, effect level, delay mode, and tone. Setting the delay time can be adjusted manually via the black knob by either turning it to fine tune or pressing it for quicker advancement through the delay times.

The I/O of the device has an input for a control pedal, and headphone out , 2 inputs for stereo operation, by plugging in the "left" in and out will give you mono.

It would be really to your advantage to read the manual because you can assign the pedals to do different things, adjust how many "heads" to use for the tape delay (based on the Space Echo), how to adjust for -20db to +4db output, and other neat tricks.. There is also a way to reset the factory presets.

With 11 different delay types including "Sound On Sound", Reverse, Tape, Analog, Dual (long delay and slap at the same time), Pan, Smooth (has a reverb quality with the delay), modulation. The two "new" settings are "Twist" and "Warp."

The "Twist" mode is activated by the left pedal and causes the delay signal to speed up and oscillate.

The "Warp" mode holds the delay until you hit the pedal again.

This unit has 23 seconds of delay time and with the "SOS' function you can use this as a looper.

You can adjust your delay via either the right pedal or the button under the display. You can also adjust tempo as well.

You can store up to 4 settings in the memory.

This device is not "true-bypass" but the buffers in most Boss pedals are good in not affecting your tone. So if you have a bunch of pedals with "true-bypass" this should not be a problem. The other thing to note is the device is in an "always on" state and takes up a lot of real estate on the pedal board.

Granted the Giga Delay may have many bells and whistles that you may never use so give some thought on how you are going utilize this device. I bought it based on being able to store presets and having a "reverse" function. If you looking for a simpler delay pedal then look at the MXR Carbon Copy (which I also own). That is a versatile pedal in a small footprint.

BOSS TU-2 Stage Tuner Review

It's simple to use, very durable and versatile (for both guitar and bass, and with half step and step lower tunings). Boss DD-7 Digital Delay Pedal Review

(More customer reviews)I literally just took this pedal out of the box an hour and a half ago and it has already blown me away. I've only begun to scratch the surface of what this pedal can do, and i've made funky/weird loops of sound, bizarre cricket noises, long delays that instead of fading out actually get LOUDER with time. I dont know how else to say it, If you are looking for a delay pedal, you just found it. This thing can do anything.

It feels like the iPhone of delay pedals to me so far... like it can do all this crazy cool stuff... but oh yeah, it can also just do an echo too. (Wait, you can call people with an iPhone?)

I could have waited a week or so to really learn everything this pedal can do and write a detailed review of it's performance, but i dont feel i have to. It's the latest BOSS delay pedal... what else is there to say?

Also with the price range of 130-160 dollars its a huge bargin compared to other BOSS pedals that might pull off a similar effect such as the RC-2($180-200), or RC-20XL($240-300). Granted i know very little about the FULL capabilities of those pedals, but the DD-7 has up to 40 seconds worth of loop play in "Hold" mode. And the hold mode is so much more sophisticated that what I am familiar with... since previous to this pedal i have only tampered with the DD-3.

Sorry if I'm rambling, but seriously I'm in love with this pedal. Perhaps i will post a video demo of some of the weird junk you can do with it at some point.

DigiTech DL-8 HardWire Delay/Looper Extreme-Performance Pedal Review

(More customer reviews)Recently upgraded to a tube amp that unfortunately has no effects.Since pedals are so expensive I decided to go with the DL 8 to start with.Not only is there a number of delay functions, there is a modulated delay that gives a nice chorus type of effect.There's also a slapback delay that gives a reverb type of effect and lastly there's a 20 second looper.Don't get me wrong, this isn't going to completely replace a chorus, reverb or looper but it's a great starter pedal that lets you create a variety of sounds until you can fill out your pedals.The looper is very basic.You can't save loops and once you start a loop you can't stop it and then start it again so this may not be the answer if you want to be a one man band.You can loop up to 20 seconds and then overdub over it which is a lot of fun.

The other main reason I chose the DL8 is that other reviewers stated there was no loss of tone using the pedal.I finally upgraded to a tube amp and dont want my pedals robbing the tone.I would agree that the signal stays pretty solid using this pedal and I didn't notice any loss of tone during use.One downer is thing eats batteries really quick.The first 9v lasted only a 2-3 hours of time.I'm going to invest in the power supply or some sort of powered pedal board.The pedal itself is heavy as a brick and seems built solid.I think it will last a long time but time will tell.Overall, a solid buy and I'm very happy

(More customer reviews)First of all not having the power adapter shipped in with this was a major turn off for me. Why it has to be sold separately?! doesn't make any sense to me. The effects are alright, the individual sounds needs time to get used to it. I am currently experiencing latency coming from the USB plug (even the plug wasn't included as well).
Overall its a fun multi effect i like the loop recording ability.
The not included things were very annoying for me.

Boss RC-2 Loop Station Effect Pedal Review

He mentioned that when you find a drum beat you like and accidentally go forward to another beat that you CAN'T go back to the previous one..He's wrong you CAN go back. You have to select the little musical note and press the "tap tempo" button. But anyway..About my review..

To me this pedal is near perfect.And I absolutely love it. I feel like i cant play with out this now...

The features : There are a lot of drums beats to choose from and they can easily be changed into a different tempo if they are not as fast or as slow as you would like them to be. There is also 11 spaces to record your songs/phrases to. and 16 minutes of recording which is more than enough for me but if it had more time i'd be happier.

If you want to record clean sounds with the pedal then thats ok. But if you want to use distorted guitar sounds you need a distortion pedal to go before the pedal or else the drums will distort. So if you plan on buying this pedal to record rock songs you might want to invest in a distortion pedal.

This pedal is the closest thing i have to having someone else to play with. It's also a great tool for learning songs that have more than one guitar. You just gotta record each guitar but that doesn't matter because its a whole lot of fun anyway.

The first couple of minutes with this pedal might seem confusing and maybe frustrating for others. But after about 20 minutes or so you really start to get the hang of it and what it can do. The only problem i've had with this pedal is that right from the start the AUX input didn't work,forgivable this time because a lot of my amps and stuff already have AUX inputs. I love this pedal and so will you.. I rarely ever play with out it now. And for $150 its worth it..unless you want to buy it on musiciansfriend for 189. go for it.

I also recommend an adapter for it like with any pedal these suck out the batteries power like nothing.

Behringer PB1000 Universal Effects Pedal Floorboard Review

(More customer reviews)This is an inexpensive pedalboard, costing about 1/2 to 1/3 as much as some of the others.It sets up easily.I do not have any Behringer components, but it fits the small Boss units in the standard slots.They do not provide extra foam for oddly-sized components, of which I have several.For my MXR flanger, Green Screamer, Morley pedal, and MXR Noise Gate I had to cut out custom foam inserts.I found the foam at mcmaster.com.

When closed, the case provides good protection for the pedals, which was my main reason for buying it.Unfortunately the Morley pedal doesn't fit when the case is closed, so I still have some fussing to do to get set up, but it is much better than before when I had all of the pedals thrown into a bag.

The biggest problem with this arrangement is that it is NOISY, especially when using a compressor or the Green Screamer.I suspect that the noise is coming from a ground loop, which is not uncommon in pedalboards, when several pedals share the same power supply.There are some possible solutions, of which the most promising appears to be a multi-tap transformer that would isolate the ground returns.But that is still on the list of things to do.In my case the MXR and Morley run on AC so there is AC power running near the signal lines, which also is probably contributing to the noise.

All told I think this is a decent product, at a good value (considering it comes with what could easily be $50 worth of patch cords).For a garage band, it is adequate.If you are going on tour with Pink Floyd, you can probably afford something a bit more high end.

It's All About Connections
This pedal board makes hooking up 12 2.5" x 4.5" pedals as easy as hooking up just one (of course, if you're using pedals that aren't 2.5" x 4.5", the snug foam padding can be cut to accommodate pedals of varying shapes). The PB1000 includes 1/4-inch patch cables, so you can leave your pedals connected to one another, ready to pass signal even when you're transporting them. It also comes with 1 x 12 daisy chain cabling so that when you plug in the 1.7 A power adapter, all your pedals receive power.
The Ins and Outs
Connect your guitar, bass or keyboard to the single 1/4-inch input in the upper right corner of the board. A pair of 1/4-inch jacks in the upper left corner allow you to connect stereo effects, and two 1/4-inch jacks send a left and right stereo signal to up to two amps. When it is time to load out, just unplug the power supply, disconnect your guitar and amp, put the lid back on the PB1000 and slide the locking latches back into place.
Pedal Protection
The PB1000 is made of heavy-impact plastic, a casing that will protect your pedals from the rigors of the road, including heavy impacts.
