I bought it because i was tired of taking some of my more expensive guitars on the road in the back of my van with all the other electronic equipment tubling around.I liked this K2TRD because for an expensive guitar it has great sound and a boat load of resonance. My next trick was to pull the string off and replace them with D Adarrio 10's so i could play this guitar like an electric and be able to bend strings........works great and everyone who plays it loves it...hrt

(More customer reviews)Ok, how did I spend $200 on an electric acoustic, and get such an awesome deal?!! I've always been happy with Washburn, but this is ridiculous. I feel like I still owe them money! I compared this to a friend's $650Ibanez and the action and tone is exactly the same if not a bit better! WOW! The action isn't as comfortable as a Cort I tried at the same price, but the electronics are better and it rings out with tone-to-the-bone much better than the Cort. What's amazing is, I spent just about $40.00 less on a Fender Starcaster which was not electric and was of hideous quality of ridiculous proportions. Acoustically this guitar is a dream, and event though the action isn't "perfect", my hands don't hurt and I can kill every note. The real fun begins when I connect it to any of my amps, add some effects and am in total heaven. Don't pass up this deal. This is quality and fun, through-and-through!

(More customer reviews)I bought the OG10CE as a package from Austin Bazaar. As advertised it came with a stand, strings, and a gig bag. However they also included a strap, pick and a pitch pipe. The guitar is beautiful, the picture on Amazon does not do it justice. Take a look at the yellow sunburst finish here [...] to see what the pattern looks like -- mine looks like that except in a natural wood color.

I've played bass for 20 years and my wife just started playing electric guitar earlier this year. Seeing and hearing her learn made me want to give it a try too. We wanted the versatility of an acoustic electric and a smaller body that would be comfortable for both of us -- I've been playing a Steinberger bass lately so a dreadnought just felt too big for me. The built-in tuner is a nice feature, but most acoustic electrics seem to have them unless you go bottom of the line. Unplugged the guitar sounds great -- certainly not as full as a dreadnought, but I'll take that trade-off that comes with the comfort of the smaller, thinner body. Plugged in it sounds great too. The tone (3 band) and presence controls are really nice.

PROS:
Nice sound both plugged and unplugged
Very pretty wood finish -- we like just looking at it on the stand :)
Nice electronics

CONS:
haven't found any yet.

THE PACKAGE DEAL:
Pros: great price [...], free shipping, nice stand, bonus strap, pick and pitch pipe
Cons: the gig bag had an unbearable plastic smell. After washing it on "hand wash" it didn't smell any better. It literally stunk up the first floor of my house. It is also very thin and not very protective -- we bought a hard shell case and humidifier yesterday. However, the rest of the stuff you get in this package, free shipping, and the price make this an excellent deal. Maybe you can use the gig bag for a Rock Band controller. The only other con is that they only provided 3 replacement strings (GBE) not a full set, but they didn't claim they were sending a full set either. Of course the guitar comes strung with a full set -- de-tuned for shipping. But again, given the whole package it is quite a deal.

Their acoustic products are ideal for the novice player through intermediate, or even professional. This model handles well, but can take some getting used to. I'm anxious to get one of their electric acoustic models soon, as my next project calls for a certain sound. I know that I can trust their reliable product once again. For under $200.00, one can really enjoy the world of guitar without breaking the bank.

That is, it would be extremely difficult to find a guitar in this price band that comes even remotely close in terms of quality; not only with regard to craftsmanship, but certainly the sound it produces. The Applause exceeds expectation whether it is unplugged, amplified, or even run directly through a mixer. Beyond sounding comparatively spectacular, it is far more durable than perhaps any other hollow-bodied instrument on the market due to its components and design. The electronics are reliable and the instrument is accessible, or playable, to even the most novice of musicians. This guitar is the ideal instrument for a beginner or a younger musician, simply because it is cost efficient, durable, and as easy to play for the price as one might be able to find anywhere. Even experienced guitarists will almost certainly appreciate its action, sound and durability if not only for the purposes of practice and travel. This is an exceptional value and an excellent instrument.

(More customer reviews)During my first lesson, my guitar teacher allowed me to practice with his Ovation Applause.I loved the sound and how it snugly fit in my lap.I purchased this model after my first lesson and have never been disappointed.The sound quality is smooth and even.The look and feel is not cheap, but sturdy and attractive.

If you're starting out, don't buy one of those $100 Guitar Packages but spend a few extra dollars and purchase this one.You won't regret it.

The strings are very good.No tinny sound or buzzing.It has such a sweet sound.The amp is sooooo awsome!!We only had to put the volume to "1".It really cranks.I know my grandson will be amazed at this guitar and I am sure it will last for many many years.
I'm thinking of purchasing another of these Epiphone packs for myself.

(More customer reviews)I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 the only reason is because the carry bag that the guitar comes with is pretty cheaply made nylon plastic and I ended up throwing it away but for the overall guitar is well worth the price great for beginner guitarist and also plays well for advanced guitarist. The amp system itself has nice volume and being able to change the bass and treble helps with certain songs that you want to play. It took only about a week to arrive with standard delivery and comes in a large guitar shaped box. I recommend this product but also if your gonna travel you might want to buy a hard case for storage and also get yourself a capo to be able to play certain songs if Fender added those 2 items in the package I would definitely give them 5 stars but overall 4 stars is well worth this product and price. Keep On Playing
