(More customer reviews)I did not buy this from Amazon but a different vendor.I had nothing but issues with the guitar as it would not stay in tune after minutes.I thought is was something I was doing that was wrong and brought it to my local guitar shop.They could not do anything with it.The frets were poorly cut so the endges were jagged.Again not to nice for a beginner to become injured by thier instrument.

It is a piece of junk and do not confuse with a true Fender product.

If you are getting this for someone who wants to learn guitar this will only frustrate them and make them quit.There are better beginner guitars for around the same price.Look at the Squier rather than this poor excuse for a guitar.

Yamaha C40 Classical Guitar Package Review

Yamaha classical guitars are the best inexpensive high quality classical guitars that you can purchase. I've bought several other brands of classical guitars in the past but always end up selling them. I always keep the Yamahas.

If you research classical guitars on the Internet, you will find that Yamaha brand is the best classical guitar that you can buy for the money. They are not hand crafted like the more expensive brands but who cares? They are made by a computer controlled machine to exact tolerances. They play just as great as one made by a craftsman. Sure there are more expensive classical guitars out there but why pay more for same thing that you can buy cheaper? Especially when it is easy to play and sounds great.

Yamaha FG JR1 3/4 Size Acoustic Guitar with Gig Bag Review

(More customer reviews)One of the other reviewers complained that their guitar teacher called this a "1/4 sized guitar" and it appeared that they felt they had gotten a bad deal.No, it is a 3/4 sized guitar - this is based on scale length and not overall size of the guitar - but it is small.This guitar has a 21 1/4" scale (normal is about 26" but it varies), a 12 1/2" lower bout and a 9" upper bout.This places it in the parlor size category, more or less, and it fits a child well.

This is a fully functioning guitar with a solid spruce top, decent craftsmanship, and an adjustable truss rod.The action is acceptable (although it needs setup at the nut) and the tone is, well, there.You are never going to confuse the Yamaha FG JR1 for a $3000 Taylor.It is a $120 guitar.The main virtues are its size, playability, and price.For that $120 you get a well made, well designed small guitar suitable for all ages with enough tone and volume to hold its own in a small group.You can take it aboard any plane and place it in the overhead rack.If you are sitting around the campfire and have to fight off a bear with it, you are only out $120 and it is sturdy enough to tolerate at least one swing.

The adjustable truss rod lets you change the relief of the neck in all sorts of conditions (assuming you are brave enough to do so) and a little filing on the nut by your luthier (don't try this at home unless you have some experience) will make it very playable for both finger style and pick.

So it is not the top of the line, it works well for what it was intended to be.It sure beats the heck out of the so-called travel guitars which all sound like they are made from cardboard and look like the set designer of Avatar or LOTR produced them for orcs.If you are looking for a quality small guitar but are too cheap to pay for one, give the Yamaha FG JR1 a look.

Fender FA-130 Acoustic-Electric Guitar Pack, Black Review

(More customer reviews)I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 the only reason is because the carry bag that the guitar comes with is pretty cheaply made nylon plastic and I ended up throwing it away but for the overall guitar is well worth the price great for beginner guitarist and also plays well for advanced guitarist. The amp system itself has nice volume and being able to change the bass and treble helps with certain songs that you want to play. It took only about a week to arrive with standard delivery and comes in a large guitar shaped box. I recommend this product but also if your gonna travel you might want to buy a hard case for storage and also get yourself a capo to be able to play certain songs if Fender added those 2 items in the package I would definitely give them 5 stars but overall 4 stars is well worth this product and price. Keep On Playing

(More customer reviews)This is a very nice guitar package for beginners. The guitar itself is solid and holds the tune well. The overall package also represents a fantastic value. Everything one needs is there, including a tuner, a stand, picks and even spare strings. The instructional DVD is quite nice as well. I have no problem following the courses so far. The lessons only cover the basic chords, but still enough to get one started.

The price here fluctuates, but tends not to be very competitive. Some buyers have even received used guitars posing as new. Check out overstock.

I paid 179.99 from amazon and it shipped free and seeing as im in Iraq thats awsome. Ayway the guitar is very easy to play action isnt to high and its easy to get a clean sound from, tunning is also no problem usualy the top two strings need to be a little tighter after sitting over night but thats about it. The tuner is very helpful and the dvd while not very exciting does have a great cord dictionary thats very helpful to me. Over all for the money i think this is a awsome package the only peice of the package that isnt awsome is the gig bag and at this price who cares the gig bag they give you is just that a bag no padding or anything of that sort.

Electric Guitar Pack For Dummies Review

(More customer reviews)I've had this guitar for exactly a month now. I am 17 years old and was interested in getting a cheap yet good guitar to learn to play.

The Good:
As far as a starter goes, this kit is everything you need. The guitar is nice and it comes with a nice bag for transportation, the chart, and of course a few picks.

The Okay:
I was expecting the CD included to be a CD-ROM or a DVD instruction, however, it is just a music CD with a few audio tracks (the notes are shown in certain parts of the booklet. Also, the amp is very generic. I realize this is a starter kit, but it is still very basic. It has 3 knobs: volume, bass, and treble. It works well but I wish it has a few more effects. My friend got a different starter kit in which the amp at least had 'gain' to give it variety.

The Bad:
Nothing bad here, overall a pretty good product for those who want to learn how to play guitar.

Yamaha FG700S Acoustic Guitar Review

(More customer reviews)I played a Johnson dreadnought in highschool and was told that my fingers would stop hurting eventually. They never did do to the really high action (distance from fretboard to string). After 2yrs I finally gave up guitar. Recently I was having a 1/4 life crisis (im 25) and wanted to learn guitar. I broke out the old johnson from the closet and played for 2 weeks and again the finger problem. I went to Guitar Center and talked to a couple of the guys and started playing as many guitars as i could. I found that every single one was easier on my fingers than the johnson. I tried out the yamaha and a few others in this range. The yamaha just felt so much better. The action was perfect for a newbie but after asking another customer to test it for me (guy was freaking awesome on a guitar) I realized this one was amazing on really advanced stuff and you could strum the heck out of it and it still sounds amazing. Please if you are looking at playing guitar. PLEASE start with something like this instead of the $99-189 range... This is a 350 guitar hiding behind a 199 price tag. I know most ppl just want a guitar now but if you get a cheaper one you will quit playing because you can only take so much pain.

Yamaha Gigmaker Standard Acoustic Guitar Package Review

The price was good.
Also, it is the Yamaha brand name.
The sound, I was told by my teacher, was very good and he said it was a good buy.
The tuner is OK....better to buy a Korg tuner from Amazon.
Haven't tried the DVD yet.

I have only two complaints:
1) The bag, as pointed out by another review, is very flimsy. It has no straps, no padding. It just has a carry handle. You would want to buy another gig bag

2) The worksmanship is lacking at certain points....e.g. where the neck extends on to the body of the guitar, you see glue that was squeezed out from under. I am a stickler for aesthetics. Some people are not bothered with such stuff.

OVERALL A VERY GOOD GUITAR

PS - You might want to check out the GigMaker Deluxe...similar guitar but has a solid spruce top and is only $10-$20 extra. I did not know about it otherwise would have bought that.
However, as I came to know later, solid wood tops sound good but need to be kept in controlled humidity whereas the laminate tops don't care about humidity. If you want to control humidity, you can buy a little humidifier (no electricity needed) that drops into the sound hole of the guitar.

Many of us use these devices on the clock, and expected them to work properly. Some Blackjack users have said that using the driver asio4all instead of the driver Mackie provides, have fixed some of the problems.

The problem that upsets us all is that Mackie has not answered a single quiery about this problem on its user boards, and has simply not addressed the Blackjack driver issue in any public forum. I'll give it a few more days. If they don't fix it and release a workable driver, I'm sending the Blackjack back, and this will be the last Mackie product I buy.

The Onyx Blackjack uses Cirrus Logic® converters offering 114dB dynamic range (A-weighted) - a specification other companies sometimes charge thousands of dollars to achieve. Our preamp circuitry is aligned precisely with the onboard analog-to-digital conversion to always provide you with the most headroom and the lowest noise and distortion possible, a real sonic benefit that is often ignored on smaller interfaces.

Zero-Latency Recording

Latency is evil and must be punished. If you have recorded with digital gear, chances are you feel the same way. It's a pesky computer-induced delay that can quickly kill the vibe of any recording session. Blackjack puts this issue to rest once and for all, featuring a true analog monitoring path directly from the preamps to your studio monitors and headphones. Professional Tools

No other ultra-compact desktop interface delivers as many professional features as the Onyx Blackjack. Both channels double as built-in DIs for direct connection of guitars, basses, keyboards, drum machines, etc. Both channels also deliver 48V phantom power, so you can use studio-quality condenser mics with no problem. The studio monitor and headphone outputs have independent level controls for maximum flexibility. Plus, the Onyx Blackjack is bus-powered via USB, so there's no power supply to lose or another cable cluttering your workspace.
