(More customer reviews)I've owned and played hundreds of guitars and I'm very particular when it comes to sound, workmanship, etc. Because of the low price a not so well-known brand, etc. I was hesitant at first, but once I got this gem I was positively surprised. The neck is fast, the natural has a shiny quality finish top, the resonance and sustain are really great and this guitar also comes with Martin strings. The overall workmanship is really nice and the controls for the preamp are easy to use and they are on top where they are supposed to be. I've been playing guitar for over 30 years and I can easily compare this in China made Rogue to a $1,500 brandname guitar, and this Rogue costs a tiny fraction of that. I don't think you can go wrong with this guitar -- you'll be positively surprised just as I was. Although it's a solid dreadnought, the weight is on the light side which I personally prefer. It's simply fun to pick up this guitar and play it. By the way, some of my friends who are professional musicians bought this Rogue as an additional practice guitar, and all of them really enjoy playing it and they're very satisfied. I think it's also the most inexpensive quality Acoustic/Electric out there.

+ Well packaged. I'm always a little worried when it comes to buying stuff online. I've had bad experiences in the past, but this wasn't one of them. Absolutely no damage at all!
+ Shipment was very fast. I ordered it on Friday and received it at my front door on Tuesday.

- The bridge pins were really stuck down in there. I quickly broke a string by trying to tune it. I'm not sure if it was because of the pins, but it probably didn't help.
- A lot of the reviews you see online about this guitar say the neck is pretty wide. It is, but it's obviously going to be if you need to fit 12 strings on there. It's a little stretch for my hands, but I have the tiniest hands ever.

This was my first purchase from Epiphone. I've admired their guitars for awhile and I'm very proud to own this one. Don't think about buying this guitar. Just go ahead and buy it. For this price, you MUST. It's a lot nicer than most guitars I've seen for twice the price.

Fender Starcaster J Bass Review

(More customer reviews)Normally when I buy a Bass this cheap, I expect to spend a lot of time setting it up but I have to say the fit and finish were flawless and the set-up was fine out of the box.The neck was perfectly tuned. After stretching and tuning the strings, I was pleasantly surprised to find the coveted Fender tone for less than $100. This is a bargain. Don't let brand/class snobs fool you, you won't have the ear to tell the difference between this and a Fender American standard Jazz Bass and this import. Excellent starter.

Simple circuit makes swapping tubes interesting for sure. I am considering getting another one so I can keep one stock for reference and free the other for mods.

I got the unit 2 weeks ago and love it. It works just as everyone said it would. Easy to use and sounds great. I play Bass in two church bands as well as run sound. It was great being able to walk to the sound board without taking off my bass. My Sound assistant loves that I can help him and still play.

As a sound guy I have tried to work with other guitar players and their wireless units and found it to be a pain to find just the right channel and Settings. I found that some worked well and other were not worth the box they can in. The ones that worked well cost more than my Bass and did not see the need to go wireless.

This unit is out standing in it is Super easy to use Plug in and go, fits in gig bag easy, batteries for it is cheap (AA's), Very clean sound.

There are just a few draw backs.The clip for the unit looks to be for your belt not a guitar strap. Wife made a pocket for the transmitter on my strap that it slides into.The batteries I am using are not lasting 5hrs it is more like 3hrs but still good for Sunday service.

Some people have talked about latency but I do not have any until I get 50 feet away. Keep in mind I am also 50 feet away from my speakers to. So I would say the distance form the speakers is more the issue.

I would recommend the power adapter for the receiver. I have forgotten to unplug the cable from it several times and killing the batteries.

All in All it is a great product. I have been very happy with it.

Behringer GTX30 Guitar Amplifier 30-Watt Guitar Amplifier Review

(More customer reviews)Well, some of you already know I was looking for a little practice amp. I bought a Behringer GM108 which lasted 2-3 weeks. Sent it back to Amazon for another one and it was a dud, too! So, that got shipped back today.

Yesterday, I ordered the Behringer GTX30 and it came today. Gotta say, it's not bad. Not the best amp in the world, but it serves my purpose.

Tone is very good, clean is CLEAN. It emulates a tube amp by pressing a button. Sounds OK, but not quite the real thing. It's a 30 watt-er and it's loud enough. I'm not too crazy about the overdrive or the cheapo knobs. The OD could be a lot better, but that's not why I got it.

The effects (reverb, flanger, chorus & delay) are not bad at all. Still not why I got it. Though it does work well with my Digitech RP-55 mulit-effects pedal. My RP-55 has the exact same effects and many more and it does a better job. Haven't tried it with my DOD pedals, yet (since I got the RP-55, I don't use them much). Oh, yeah, sounds good with my Behringer HellBabe wah-wah pedal, too.

So, why did I get this amp? Well, like many amps out there it has 2 features I REALLY need: headphones and line-in. Sure, I could've gone Fender or Marshall, but I just wanted to try something else. I've been dialing it in for the last couple of hours and it really does sound good.

Oh, and when I put on the headphones, NO thud or static. When I take them off and play hard, NO thud or static. That was the problem I had with the GM108.

So, am I happy? Yeah, I am!

I still have some MAJOR testing out to do with it over the weekend. But, for now, the amp stays here and is not being shipped back to Amazon.

So far, I'd recommend it anyone.

(More customer reviews)I was pleasantly surprised by this guitar when I received it. It is actually quite a nice looking guitar. Its on the heavy side, the action wasn't bad out of the box, a little tweaking and it was fine. The toggle switch was broke when i received it but Amazon made it right. I don't play much anymore so this guitar is fine with me. In my playing days I used a Gibson LS6 and a Fender Strat Deluxe plus. While this guitar cant compare to either of those I can say for the money this is not a bad little guitar. Action is low and it doesn't kill your fingers. Definitely worth the money, Good for a back up, great for a beginner or for those that would just like to pick up the guitar every now and then.

Boss DD-20 Giga Delay Guitar Pedal Review

(More customer reviews)The Boss DD-20 Giga Delay pedal may not be the last delay pedal you ever need but it may come close. This is another in the "twin pedal" design in the Roland line.

The layout looks imposing but is very simple and intuitive. You have your basic controls for feedback, delay time, effect level, delay mode, and tone. Setting the delay time can be adjusted manually via the black knob by either turning it to fine tune or pressing it for quicker advancement through the delay times.

The I/O of the device has an input for a control pedal, and headphone out , 2 inputs for stereo operation, by plugging in the "left" in and out will give you mono.

It would be really to your advantage to read the manual because you can assign the pedals to do different things, adjust how many "heads" to use for the tape delay (based on the Space Echo), how to adjust for -20db to +4db output, and other neat tricks.. There is also a way to reset the factory presets.

With 11 different delay types including "Sound On Sound", Reverse, Tape, Analog, Dual (long delay and slap at the same time), Pan, Smooth (has a reverb quality with the delay), modulation. The two "new" settings are "Twist" and "Warp."

The "Twist" mode is activated by the left pedal and causes the delay signal to speed up and oscillate.

The "Warp" mode holds the delay until you hit the pedal again.

This unit has 23 seconds of delay time and with the "SOS' function you can use this as a looper.

You can adjust your delay via either the right pedal or the button under the display. You can also adjust tempo as well.

You can store up to 4 settings in the memory.

This device is not "true-bypass" but the buffers in most Boss pedals are good in not affecting your tone. So if you have a bunch of pedals with "true-bypass" this should not be a problem. The other thing to note is the device is in an "always on" state and takes up a lot of real estate on the pedal board.

Granted the Giga Delay may have many bells and whistles that you may never use so give some thought on how you are going utilize this device. I bought it based on being able to store presets and having a "reverse" function. If you looking for a simpler delay pedal then look at the MXR Carbon Copy (which I also own). That is a versatile pedal in a small footprint.

Bugera V5 5-Watt Class-A Valve Amplifier Combo with Reverb And Power Attenuator Review

(More customer reviews)Although I heard this is a copy of a vox ac30 I think it is more like a mini colossal.3 wattage setting options with the built in attenuator.8 inch speaker actually sounds fine in a bedroom.I don't think upgrading the 8" speaker will have much of an impact on the sound.However I'm interested in hearing this through a 10" speaker.

The reverb is nice.Its a big difference between the other low cost/low watt tube amp options.

The amp has a lot of headroom so there is no reason to go with a 12au7 as a pre-amp tube.However to get heavy distortion will require a stomp box to push it.

Maybe a set of jj tubes in replacement of the rebadged sovtek tubes that bugera uses.But that too isn't high on the to-do list.

The amp itself looks and feels well made and the handle feels plush.

I can see this becoming a favorite in the after market mod kit scene given the reverb option.

Wish I could say that this is a locally made amp but they are made in China.10 years ago I don't see this price would have been possible.

Just plug in a pair of headphones to the 1/4" phones jack on the back panel, and you're ready to keep the V5's all-valve sound all to yourself. Then again, if it's more volume you need, the V5 has a 1/4" Speaker Out jack that allows you to connect an additional speaker with a minimum impedance of 4 Ohms. It's easy on the eyes with it's beautiful color and finish, and overall just a gorgeous guitar. It has a slim profile which isn't expected but quite nice as it's not as heavy as other guitars. I've read that the red finish varies from guitar to guitar, but on mine, you can clearly see the wood grain through the finish and it's beautiful. Silvertone has a reputation for quality and this particular guitar has a lifetime limited warranty. It's very reasonably priced for this quality of guitar. I found it difficult to find one for sale, so that must be a testament to it's appeal as people just aren't getting rid of them. The sound is amazing. Seriously, I had several electric guitars prior to this, and the moment I plugged it in, the difference in sound was undeniable and amazing. The best way I can describe the sound is deep, mellow and soulful. It produces great sound no matter what you do with it. The humbuckers are decent as well, and it turns out they're interchangeable with Gibsons, etc. Overall, a great guitar.

It's built like a tank and has worked flawlessly in the time I've had it. Since I normally power it with a wall wart, I don't have much of an opinion about battery life.

Bottom Line: It costs a bit more than the standard Dunlop wah pedals, it's worth it.

The Crybaby 535Q is the Swiss Army knife of wah pedals. It provides control over the most important wah parameters, making it easy for you to create your ultimate wah tone. This is the wah pedal of choice for guitar master Joe Satriani.

Adjust the sharpness, volume and tonal range of your wah sound.
Wah Range Selector
The Wah Range Selector knob is located on the side of the 535Q pedal. It allows you to select a tonal range that is best suited for your expression needs. Turn the knob clockwise for the lower register ranges and counter-clockwise for the higher ranges.
Volume Control
By turning the Volume Control knob located on the left side of the pedal, you control the amount of gain. Turning the knob clockwise will increase your gain to up to 16dB. Turning the knob counter-clockwise will decrease your gain to 0dB, or normal throughput.
Variable Q
The "Q" adjustment is also located on the left side of the pedal; you can control the sharpness of the bandpass with this adjustment. High Q is a very selective bandpass filter, low Q is a very broad bandpass filter approaching an almost volume-like control. The lower Q settings have more musical quality and don't effect tone as much as the high Q settings.
